Dintshang Creator Shield Agreement

This Creator Shield Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the terms, capabilities, and limitations of the Dintshang Creator Shield feature ("Creator Shield"). This document is an addendum to and is governed by our main Terms & Conditions. By using the Creator Shield, you agree to these terms.
1. Purpose of the Creator Shield
The Dintshang Creator Shield is a documentation and evidence-gathering tool. Its sole purpose is to provide a creator with a secure, verifiable, and time-stamped record of their original work at the moment it is uploaded to the Dintshang platform.
This tool is designed to assist creators in establishing a date of creation for their digital files (e.g., audio tracks, video files, PDFs), which can be valuable evidence in the event of an intellectual property dispute.
2. What the Creator Shield Provides
When you upload a file, the Creator Shield automatically generates the following:
- A Secure Digital Timestamp: We create an immutable, cryptographic timestamp that permanently logs the exact date and time your file was received by our servers.
- A Unique File Hash: We generate a unique cryptographic hash (e.g., SHA-256) of your file. This acts as a digital fingerprint, proving the integrity of the original upload.
- "Proof of Creation" Certificate: You can generate a downloadable PDF certificate for any uploaded file, formally documenting your name, the file name, the file's unique hash, and the immutable timestamp, all verified by Bonafela AI (Pty) Ltd.
3. Critical Limitations & Disclaimer
- A Substitute for Formal Copyright Registration: The Creator Shield does not register your work with any official government copyright office. Formal registration provides significant legal advantages that this tool does not. We strongly encourage you to formally register your most valuable works.
- Legal Advice: Dintshang and Bonafela AI (Pty) Ltd are technology providers, not a law firm. The tools provided do not constitute legal advice. You should consult with a qualified attorney for any legal concerns.
- A Guarantee of Ownership: The "Proof of Creation" certificate is a form of evidence, but it does not guarantee victory in a legal dispute. Final determination of ownership can only be made by a court of law.
- Global IP Protection: The Creator Shield's monitoring capabilities are limited to detecting unauthorized re-uploads within the Dintshang platform only. It does not police the entire internet.
4. Your Responsibility
By using the Creator Shield, you warrant and represent that the content you are uploading is your own original work and that you have the full legal right to claim ownership of it. The Creator Shield documents your claim of ownership; it does not independently verify it. Misusing the Creator Shield for content you do not own is a serious violation of our Terms & Conditions and may result in the termination of your account.
